The AE-1800 is a professional Navtex receiver that works great on any marine vessel, yacht, large freighter or tanker. With a 5.6 inch daylight viewing color TFT LCD display the screen is easily visible during the toughest lighting conditions. The display will show up to 20 lines with 40 characters each. The AE-1800 will also show search and rescue (SAR) messages in red color to differentiate these distress messages from navigational or meteorological warnings. For ease of reading, three colors can be selected for the screen background, making it one of the most advanced and flexible units in its class. This product meets the IMO resolution MSC.148(77) and GMDSS requirements for SOLAS vessels. The receiver comes with a 60 cm pre amplified stainless steel whip active antenna. This helps the AE-1800 receive messages over 518 kHz and 490 kHz or 518 kHz and 4,209.5 kHz frequencies, and will store up with 200 messages. Received messages are stored and can be recalled and displayed on the screen line by line or message by message using dedicated scroll keys. Messages are also searchable by station ID and/or by message category.
