Calibration Bath by WIKA

WIKA's calibration baths serve as an ideal heat source for calibrating temperature sensors, suitable for both workshops and labs. To calibrate, test items and a standard thermometer are placed in the bath at the same temperature. Once a stable temperature is reached, test items are read or their output signals measured and compared to the standard thermometer. To achieve high accuracy, a temperature controller ensuring uniform temperature distribution and consistent temperature within the calibration range is required. These baths meet these criteria. Additionally, the bath liquid plays a crucial role. To achieve uniform temperature distribution, the chosen liquid should have high thermal conductivity and low viscosity. It should also be inert, have low vapor pressure, not decompose chemically, not burn, and maintain its properties over a wide temperature range. In practice, silicone oil has proven effective.
