The E423 metric coarse machine tap is manufactured to conform to the German Institute for Standardization. It has a titanium nitride coating to improve performance when under high friction and pressure and increase service life. The specially designed interrupted thread reduces the force required when tapping and makes the E423 a great choice for threading a wide range of materials incl. steels, stainless steel and aluminium, whilst the powder metal High Speed cobalt from which it is manufactured further improves performance and tool life. The E423 has a spiral point design, making it suitable for threading through holes (holes which go all the way through the work piece).
