The Glowboard TM Scintillator Alignment Tool assesses the alignment between the x-ray field and the light field. Upon exposure to radiation, a rare-earth phosphor glows green, revealing misalignments down to 0.1 inch on its built-in, lead-free radiopaque scales. The 8-inch x-ray visible scale, marked -4" to 4" horizontally and vertically on the x- and y-axis, features quadrants labeled A, B, C, D, and 1, 2, 3, 4. Any field of view outside the image receptor contributes to unnecessary patient exposure. This handy tool aids operators in detecting misaligned fluoroscopic systems and is easily portable with your x-ray field testing tools.
