Product Description The Kidde Hardwired Carbon Monoxide Detector with 9-Volt Battery Backup, 3 LED Indicators, model KN-COB-IC, is a carbon monoxide detector that uses electrochemical sensor technology to detect carbon monoxide. The CO detector is powered by a 120-volt power source with a 9-volt alkaline battery backup located in the back of the unit, providing coverage during a power failure. When carbon monoxide is detected, an 85-decibel alarm will sound and a red LED will flash. A green LED indicates that the alarm is receiving power. Install a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector on every level of your home and near bedrooms to help keep your family safe from fire and poisonous gas. 10-Year Limited Manufacturer's Warranty on the Alarm Only: The warranty begins when the CO alarm is powered on.
