Why we build a 4-piece ball When developing our balls, our researched showed that the majority of balls available were 2-piece (aka 2-layer) balls with a soft urethane cover. These balls produced higher, shorter flight paths with high levels of spin, leading to more hooks and slices. 2-piece balls were good for work on and around the green, most golfers struggled with distance and accuracy. We endeavored to build a ball that delivered peak energy transfer and the ability for golfers of all levels to crush longer, straighter shots.
